Tukkiapik v. R.
The right of the accused to be judged in a reasonable delay, as stated in section 11b) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, was violated. The court orders a stay of proceedings pursuant to section 24(1) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
